In concerted efforts to retain the Fox Cities' position as a center for world-class manufacturing, the Chamber lead a fund drive to bring four-year college degreed programs in engineering to the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley campus. In a significant collaboration, the Menasha campus entered into an agreement with UW-Platteville to provide the academic courses here. Local firms, with lead gifts from Plexus, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and We Energies, an engineering laboratory and faculty office space was constructed on the campus.
