  • Event: PCI Compliance Seminar
    Overview: If your business accepts credit cards as part of everyday business the new Credit CARD Act of 2009 and Payment Card Industry (PCI)'s Data Security Standard DSS (PCI-DSS) 6.6 requirements go into effect in July. As a credit card merchant, its your job to know about PCI compliance. The set of requirements is designed to ensure all companies big and small that process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. If your customers credit card information is breached, your business could be held financially liable. Dont assume your credit card software or processing company has this covered on your behalf.

    - PCI compliancy What does it mean for your business? We will provide insights on what compliance requires based on your size of business.
    - How to make the changes required for PCI compliancy financially manageable for your business.

    - How to understand your credit card statement.
    - How to calculate your TRUE cost and effective rate.

    Presenters at the event include:
    - Troy Streckenbach, owner, Jimmy Seas/StirUps, will present the merchant/owner perspective.
    - Peter Helander, Heartland Business Systems, will discuss security measures.
    - Matt Leman, vice president, First Data, will talk about the credit card industry.
    - Diane Roundy, Schenck SC, will serve as the facilitator.

    The cost for the seminar is $25.00 for Chamber members and $35.00 for non-members and includes a continental breakfast.
